Jeffrey Nothing The Pure Essence of the Underground:
When curating a lineup that captures the unapologetic, gritty soul of electronic music, you need selectors who have physically built the culture. Bringing decades of history behind the decks at historic raves, underground clubs, and global festival stages, Jeffrey Nothing is delivering the pure essence of the underground to the 6th Annual Detroit Party on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Just Music’s pedigree within the scene is foundational. As the former co-host of the highly influential electronic music radio show Crush Collision on Ann Arbor’s WCBN FM, Jeff was instrumental in broadcasting the emerging sounds of the techno revolution. His historical impact on the regional scene is even chronicled in the documentary Impulse, Ann Arbor, which explores the deep sonic connection between Ann Arbor and Detroit techno.
Jeffrey Nothing sets are built on a lifetime of reading elite dancefloors. He has held residencies at foundational Ann Arbor institutions like the Nectarine Ballroom (Necto), The Blind Pig, the U-Club, and The Club Above. Across the region, his sound has commanded legendary Detroit venues, including 1515 Broadway, Motor Lounge, The Majestic Theater, The State Theater, and Industry. From touring the early American rave circuit to taking his deep, immersive selections to stages across Europe, his experience translates into a masterful, high-fidelity journey for the crowd.
Beyond the turntables, Jeffrey Nothing’s impact shapes the industry itself. Producing and co-producing tracks for notable Detroit techno and house artists, he launched his own imprint, Saturate Records, in 2018. His creative vision extends visually through his design firm, Saturate Studios, which crafts striking artwork and stage productions tailored specifically to the electronic music world.
When Jeffrey Nothing steps into the DJ booth at The Old Miami, expect a deeply curated set from an artist whose roots run through the very bedrock of the movement.
